Terms of Service

1. About the Service

Econito is an independent interactive economics learning platform. It provides teaching content, interactive graphing tools, economic definitions, and real-world examples across the following topics:

• Introduction to Economics
• Microeconomics
• Macroeconomics
• Global Economy

The platform is available in two tiers — a free plan and a paid Premium plan — as described in Section 4.

2. Eligibility

You may use Econito if you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to create an account and use the service.

By creating an account, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

3. Accounts

Registration

You can create an account using an email address and password, or by signing in with your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Account Security

You must notify us immediately at champion.hdan@gmail.com if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice.

4. Subscription Plans & Payments

Free Plan

The free plan provides access to:

• Introduction to Economics module
• Graphing Canvas tool

Premium Plan

The Premium plan is priced at £4.00 GBP per month and provides full access to:

• All economics modules (Introduction, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Global Economy)
• Definitions tool
• Real-life Examples tool
• Graphing Canvas tool

Billing

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Your payment card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form and are never stored by or transmitted to Econito. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time from your Account > Subscription page. Upon cancellation, your Premium access will remain active until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again after cancellation, and no partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change the subscription price. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price change before it takes effect.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to circumvent access restrictions (e.g. accessing premium content on a free plan by manipulating requests)
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute any content from Econito without permission
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Upload, transmit, or distribute content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes on the rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
• Interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the service

6. Intellectual Property

All content on Econito — including but not limited to text, graphics, diagrams, lesson materials, tools, and code — is owned by or licensed to Econito and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the platform for your own educational purposes. This licence does not permit you to reproduce, distribute, publish, or create derivative works from any Econito content without explicit written permission.

7. Third-Party Services

Econito integrates with third-party services including Supabase (data storage), Stripe (payments), and Google (OAuth login). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Econito is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is accurate, complete, or up to date.

While we strive to align our content with the IB Economics curriculum, we make no guarantee that the content will fully satisfy the requirements of any particular examination board. Econito is an independent supplementary learning tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official resource of the IB Organisation or any other examining body.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Econito shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or examination results.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Econito shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
